BROCKVILLE-No one could solve Jason Riddell on Friday night at Brockville Ontario
Speedway. The Cardinal driver, who was runner up for the track title went wire to
wire leading all 30 laps in taking the Sunoco Race Fuels Super DIRT Series event on
Bob FM Dingwall Motorsports night at the track. Riddell becomes the first local
driver to capture a Sportsman Super DIRT Series event at the fast quarter mile
track.

Riddell started on the outside pole and quickly took the top spot from teenager
Bobby Herrington. Riddell was challenged a couple of times in the race first by
Shawn Donath, who did a wonderful job in his new ride the Kriska Transportation 96
and then from Chris Herbison on a couple of late restarts, but the Tilbar leasing
number 9 car was the fastest one on the track on this night pulling out leads as
large as half a lap at times. Herbison ended up second followed by Lance Willix II,
East series points leader Greg Doust and Pennsylvania's Kevin Bates.

The Modifieds ran a special run what you brung event. Stephane LaFrance made a
triumphant return to Brockville taking the lead just before the halfway mark from
Laurent Ladouceur and going on to win the 30 lap feature event. LaFrance's large
sail panel planted his car perfectly going into the turns and no one could keep up
his pace of consistent 14 and a half second laps. Mark Hitchcock with a gutsy three
wide move on the next to last restart ended up in second spot followed by Mike
Adderley, Ladouceur and Paul Pekkonen.

The best race of the night was the 15 lap Street Stock shootout. It was a three and
four car battle throughout with Steve Billings taking over the top spot with 5 laps
to go and holding off a furious late charge from Ghislain Valade in his first
Brockville appearance to score the win. Track champion Billy Code was a solid third
with an ailing car in front of Charles Barkley and Jason Powers. Josh Kane took the
12 lap Rookie event besting track champ Stephen Smith. Chris Bakker, Corey Jalbert
and Jesse Perrin were third through fifth respectively.

Brockville Ontario Speedway returns to action next Friday night, September 16th with
the premier event of the season, the 358 Modified Super DIRT Series returns to the
track for it's second and final visit. Time trials are scheduled for 6:30 pm with
racing getting underway at 7:30. Track officials will also make a major
announcement concerning the 2006 season on Friday night as well.
