Sunset Speedway held the annual Spring Velocity weekend on Saturday May 21 and Sunday May 22. I arrived at Sunset after shooting the NASCAR race at CTMP in time to see the end of qualifying and all of the features. Tom Walters won the OSCAAR Hot Rod feature, followed by 80 year old Bill Zardo SENIOR ('I never did retire'), Donny Beatie and Amanda Balson. Andy Kamrath won the OSCAAR Modified feature Kelly Balson, TJ Edwards, Herb Walters and Marshall Schrenk. Miles Tyson won the Limited Late Model feature, Brandon Passer won the Super Stock feature, Shawn Taylor won the Mini Stock feature and 0 won the Bone Stock feature.
