Flamboro Speedway Saturday October 13, 2018





The 2nd day of the Grisdale Triple Crown / London Recreational Frostoberfest saw Jake Sheridan take the Pro Late Model overall win, Brad Collison take the Super Stocks and Erik Dalla Riva take the Mini Stocks. Individual feature winners were Treyton Lapcevich, Jo Lawrence and Kevin Albers in Pro Late Models, Lane Zardo and Matt Bentley in Super Stocks and Brian Wilson and Dylan Sharpe in Mini Stocks. The final day of the annual Autumn Colours Classic had features for all divisions. Glenn Watson won the Ontario Super Late Model 75 lap feature, followed by Gary McLean and Ryan Kimball. Ryan Oosterholt won the Bone Stock race, with Kris Khan in 2nd and Chris Tubman in 3rd. Brandon Watson won the Late Model feature, followed by Ryan Kimball and JR Fitzpatrick. Justin Holmes took the Super Stock feature, with Brandon Passer 2nd and Jo Lawrence 3rd. The second day of the annual Autumn Colours Classic featured rain shortened practice for all divisions, with the second half of qualifying. Jaden Riddell won the first OSCAAR Pro Sprint feature, followed by Daniel Hawn and Norman Newman. Daniel Hawn won the second Pro Sprint feature, followed by Jaden Riddell and Ryan Battilana. Super Stock Heats were taken by Coltin Everingham, Matt Bentley, Frank Davey and Justin Holmes. Winners of OSCAAR Modified heats were John Harper, Anthony Dibello and Chris Milwain. Jordan Howse won the Outlaw Midget feature, followed by Jody Bound and Adam Carrothers. Jessica James won 2 Outlaw Midget heats, Mike Bradley won one and Nigel Buttivant won one. Kyle Neumeister, Corey Strawn, Ryan Oosterholt and Kris Khan won Bone Stock heats. Jeremy Kelly, Russell Couture and Joshua Munro were the top 3 in the Bone Stock B-Main. Ohsweken Speedway Saturday September 15, 2018



The Canadian Sprint Car Nationals 35 lap $10,000 race was won by Parker Price-Miller, followed by Steve Poirier, Mark Smith, Sam Hafertepe and Davie Franek. Jonathan Preston won the Dash and Lucas Smith won the Crate Sprint feature. There were about 100 Sprint and Crate Sprint cars in the pits today. 65 360 Sprint Cars were in the pits tonight, on the Night Before the Nationals. Chuck Hebing won the July 20 Patriot Sprint feature, followed by Alex Hill and Mark Smith. There were 2 15 lap Sprint features tonight. The finish of the first was Mark Smith, Jordan Thomas and Parker Price-Miller. The second was Sam Harfertepe Jr, Dylan Westbrook and Chuck Hebing. Humberstone Speedway Sunday September 9, 2018


For more info, please see Humberstone Speedway . After checking the radar all day, i decided to travel to Humberstone. I arrived to an empty racetrack - they had called it before i even left (their website wasn't updated before i had to leave, and their twitter feed on the website still doesnt mention it as of 9:40pm). I recommend intellicast.com for rain predictions - way better than some of the usual weather sites. They got this one right again. To be fair, the track had to cancel early for DIRTcar. Be sure to visit them next week for a demolition show.

The NASCAR Truck race finished with the 1st and 2nd place drivers spinning on the last turn . The NASCAR Trucks practiced and qualified (in wet conditions) today, with Ben Rhodes taking pole, followed by Noah Gragson and Myatt Snider. Canadians Alex Tagliani starts 10th, DJ Kennington starts 13th, Stewart Friesen 16th and Jason White 27th. The NASCAR Pinty's Series practiced, but their qualifying was rained out. For the second week in a row, Ohsweken's night was cut short by rain. The Sprint feature will be run on a future Friday night. Flamboro Speedway Saturday July 21, 2018



The APC Pro Late Model 100 lap feature was won by JR Fitzpatrick, followed by Shae Gemmell, Treyten Lapcevich, Matt Pritiko and Andrew Gresel. Ohsweken Speedway Friday July 20, 2018




The visiting Patriot Sprint Tour saw 37 360 Sprint Cars in the pits (plus the Crates), but all the features were rained out. The Sprint feature will be held on September 14, and the other features will be held on future friday nights. Christmas in July and the Autograph session were also hit by the rain. Toronto Indy Sunday July 15, 2018




The Toronto Indy was held Friday July 13 through Sunday July 15. Scott Dixon won the IndyCar race, followed by Simon Pagenaud, Robert Wickens and James Hinchcliffe. Jukasa Speedway Saturday July 14, 2018





After shooting all day at the Toronto Indy, i travelled to Jukasa. The ISMA Supermodified feature was won by Danny Bowes (1st win), followed by Jon McKennedy and Johnny Benson Jr. The ROC Modified feature finish was Emerling, Jankowiak, Lewis, Leaty and Catalano. Toronto Indy Saturday July 14, 2018




The Toronto Indy was held Friday July 13 through Sunday July 15. The NASCAR Pinty's Series was present Friday and Saturday. Andrew Ranger won the Pinty's Series race, with Alex Tagliani 2nd, JF Dumoulin 3rd, Gary Klutt 4th and LP Dumoulin 5th. Josef Newgarden won pole in IndyCars, with a speed of 108.068mph. Canadian Tire Mo'sport Park Sunday July 8, 2018



The Mobil 1 Sports Car Grand Prix took place July 5th through 8th. Colin Braun and Jon Bennet won in the Prototypes, with Jordan Taylor and Renger Van Der Zande in 2nd and Filipe Nasr and Eric Curran in 3rd. The GTLM was won by Richard Westbrook and Ryan Briscoe. Canadian Tire Mo'sport Park Sunday June 17, 2018





The annual VARAC Vintage Weekend took place from June 14 through June 17. I attended Friday and Sunday. The featured cars this year were the F5000 series, with 11 cars in the paddock. Unfortunately Jeff Green, Pro Mazda driver (not the NASCAR driver), lost his life in a racing incident on Saturday in one of the F5000 cars. Condolences to his family and friends. Sunset Speedway Sunday May 20, 2018





After shooting at CTMP during the day, i travelled to Sunset for the postponed Day 1 of the Velocity Weekend. Brandon Watson (who set a track record of 14.037) won the 100 lap APC Pro Late Model feature. Andrew Gresel was 2nd and JR Fitzpatrick 3rd. Jody Bound won the Outlaw Midget feature. Canadian Tire Mo'sport Park Sunday May 20, 2018




LP Dumoulin won the NASCAR Pinty's Series 51 lap race after Andrew Ranger made contact with race leader Kevin Lacroix (who started pole). Marc-Antoine Camirand finished 2nd, Noah Gragson 3rd, DJ Kennington 4th and Kevin Lacroix 5th. I didn't shoot the remaining support races - had to run to Sunset for their evening show. Canadian Tire Mo'sport Park Saturday May 19, 2018




Fog halted racing for some time Saturday at the Victoria Day Weekend races. The NASCAR Pinty's Series practice was mostly fogged out (a few cars took some slow laps), although a special 30 minute practice was added at the end of the day instead of qualifying. The Pirelli World Challenge Series and the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Series held races partly in the rain in the afternoon after the fog lifted. Merrittville Speedway Monday April 23, 2018




On the third try, Merrittville Speedway had a successful practice after the first attempt April 14 was snowed out, and the 2nd attempt still had wet/frozen ground. Canadian Auto Show, Toronto, Thursday February 22, 2018


The Canadian International Auto Show was held February 16-25 at the Toronto Covention Centre. For more info, please see Canadian Auto Show .
In addition to exotic cars, a Porsche display, and Art and the Automobile (classic cars) i photographed the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs. This program features over 3300 dog teams, which assist over 100,000 clients per year.
